Spain is part of the Iberian Peninsula and has a large coastline of 3.084 miles. These Spanish coasts, or Costas, are divided into two major parts, interrupted by Portugal. The coast covers the east to the south and borders both the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean. It lies between France and Portugal and is only interrupted by the British exclave Gibraltar.
